Writers’ Resources

When you’re writing for the first time or still learning, it’s good to have resources on hand to answer immediate questions. At times you might wish to ask a question in a writer’s group forum where others can offer assistance. It was such an idea that led me to post resources on my website. That way I could help others as well.

Recently, Margot Reyes from Fullers Library sent me an email. She had found my website and wanted to say thank you for the resources she found there that helped her with the workshop she offered. On searching the internet, I found she was located in Great Britain, London to be exact. You just never know the reach of your website.

Being appreciative, she also offered a link shared by two of her participants in a how-to workshop on poetry. I added that to my page also.

Beyond a college dictionary and thesaurus, here’s a list of sources that may assist you:

Please get in touch with any additional recommendations (cari.edit@rogers.com).

On my newsletter page, you will see links to past Finetuned newsletters. From time to time, I suggest books on the craft of writing. Often you can find such a book in your library to see if it’s a good match for your needs before purchasing.

Scroll through, find what speaks to you at this time, and do let me know if something you find here is particularly helpful. Those notes are lovely to receive.
